The word therapy has its origins in the Greek word ‘therapia’, which translates to healing. Healing has a different meaning for each person, so no two paths to healing are the same. To this end, our focus when providing support is to do just that; cater your support to your needs, to help you to move from where you are, to where you would like to be.

Our initial sessions are an opportunity to get to know you and you to know us. This provides an opportunity to build a safe space for you to decide if Small Village is the right fit for you – not all relationships work, and we get that. In the event you feel Small Village isn’t the right fit for you, we’ll do our absolute best to provide you with a range of referrals to professionals we hope will be a better fit.

If you find Small Village are a good fit for you, the next few sessions will be an opportunity to explore the issues you’d like to work through, at your pace. Once we’ve established what it is you would like to work through, our next sessions will be spent creating a roadmap together; a plan to get your from where you are to where you would like to be.

Our services can be provided in person, by referral, via phone/skype/zoom and, in exceptional cases, in home visits
